Louis Delmas might think twice about saluting the crowd next time.
The Detroit Lions have fined their second-year safety $5,000 after a photo surfaced on the Internet of Delmas flipping the bird to the Metrodome crowd last Sunday during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings, according to Tom “Killer” Kowalski of MLive.com.
Delmas isn’t the first Lion to give a one-fingered salute to fans. Center Dominic Raiola told fans at Ford Field they were No. 1 back in 2008 as the team marched to 0-16.
Had the Lions not taken action against Delmas, the NFL likely would have stepped in.
