Back in his heyday, Lawrence Taylor could get to the quarterback faster. But Nutrisystem, the diet and weight loss company based in Horsham, Pa., has was just about as fast in sacking the Hall of Fame linebacker.
Less than 24 hours after Taylor was arraigned on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl in New York, Nutrisystem bounced him as a pitch man for the company, according to TMZ.com.
"We are shocked and saddened by these very serious allegations against Lawrence Taylor,” a company rep told the Web site. “Based on the severity of these allegations, Nutrisystem has made the decision to sever our relationship with Mr. Taylor effective immediately."
