The Geen Bay Packers have signed former Alabama punter Cody Mandell.
Mandell has a previous stint with the Dallas Cowboys.
He was an All-Southeastern Conference punter and a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award.
Packers punter Tim Masthay struggled last season as he had a net average of 37 yards per punt to rank 30th in the NFL, a gross average of 44.1 yards to rank 26th and only 14 punts inside the 20-yard line to rank last in the NFL.
In an overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC title game, he had a 35.2 net.
