With the Packers in need of another quarterback, they will promote Scott Tolzien to the 53-man roster, according to a report from NFL.com.
Tolzien is currently on the practice squad. With Aaron Rodgers fracturing his collarbone in Monday's loss to Chicago, the Packers need a backup to Seneca Wallace, who looks to remain the starter while Rodgers misses time.
Tolzien is a local product, having played quarterback at the University of Wisconsin.
