Freshly minted Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning might not be far off from making a return to practice.
Manning opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to make his way back from surgery on May 23 to repair a bulging disc in his neck. But Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reports that Manning might not be far off.
Per the report, Manning was seen running and throwing on Wednesday night with “decent velocity.” Under rules, Manning is prohibited from participating in practices in Anderson, Ind., until he passes his physical and is cleared to be promoted off the PUP list.
