Oakland Raiders left offensive tackle Jared Veldheer was activated from injured reserve-designated to return following a torn left triceps that required surgery.
Veldheer's return is significant. Until the injury, he had started the last 42 games at left tackle, missing just a single snap during that span.
Veldheer is a former third-round draft pick who drew high grades last season.
The Raiders cut rookie quarterback Tyler Wilson to create a roster spot for Veldheer.
