Oakland Raiders coach Hue Jackson said he would deal with any discipline regarding linebacker Roland McClain "in-house" after electing to allow McClain to play in Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
"The information that I gathered myself in dealing with him is I feel the player has an opportunity to move beyond this," Jackson told the Contra Costa Times. "There's no question he knows I'm disappointed with some things that occurred, and I will take care of that in-house."
McClain had been arrested in his native Decatur, Ala., where he had been excused to attend the funeral of his grandfather. McClain was charged after a fight in which police said he held a gun to a man's head. McClain was charged with firing a weapon within city limits, third-degree assault, menacing and reckless endangerment.
McClain arrived in Miami on Friday a day ahead of the Raiders after being arrested Wednesday night, and Jackson elected to play him against the Dolphins.
