Dominique Foxworth, who was instrumental in making sure there was a 2011 NFL season through his work on a new labor agreement, has ended his campaign after just three games.
The Baltimore Ravens placed Foxworth on injured reserve on Wednesday after he appeared in just two of the team's three games. He was inactive this past Sunday against St. Louis.
Foxworth missed all of the 2010 season with a knee injury suffered in training camp, and was still having issues this season.
To replace Foxworth on the roster, the Ravens brought back linebacker Patrick Burgess, who has been the team's leading special teams tackler in each of the past two seasons.
