The Ravens brought back receiver Deonte Thompson on Tuesday, just three days after cutting him.
Thompson was waived this past Saturday, a day before Baltimore's 23-21 win over Cleveland. The move was made to add depth to the running back position, as the Ravens promoted Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad to the 53-man roster for the game. Running back Bernard Pierce missed the game with a thigh injury.
The Ravens reversed course on Tuesday and swapped them back, waiving Toussaint. Assuming he clears waivers, Toussaint is likely to re-join the Ravens' practice squad.
Thompson has not recorded any stats for the Ravens this season and is one of seven receivers on the roster.
