Could Carson Palmer show up at the Cincinnati Bengals' facility next week for the start of the regular season and force the team's hand?
ESPN's Bob Holtzman says it is possible, as he reported that the 31-year-old quarterback met with Bengals officials in late July.
Palmer chose to retire when the Bengals would not accommodate his trade request this off-season. If Palmer shows up, the Bengals will have to decide what to do with him and his $11.5 million salary.
The Bengals have decided to go with rookie Andy Dalton as their starter, and have veteran Bruce Gradkowski as well.
