Add the Minnesota Vikings to the list of teams saying “no thanks” to Terrell Owens.
While you’re at it, scratch the Vikings off your list of possible destinations for free-agent guard Chester Pitts, who is to work out for NFL teams today in Arizona.
Joe Schmit, the sports director at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis, tweeted that he golfed with Vikings’ personnel boss Rick Spielman at a charity event and Spielman relayed that his team was not interested in either player.
The Vikings need their focus to be on getting one player to join them – even if its midway through the preseason – and that is quarterback Brett Favre. He did just fine with the receiving targets he had a year ago. Pitts was mentioned as a possibility for Minnesota after is lost Artis Hicks in free agency to the Washington Redskins.
