The New Orleans Saints finalized their coaching staff.

That includes seven new assistants.

The Saints announced the hiring of senior defensive assistant Dennis Allen, running backs coach Joel Thomas, receivers coach John Morton, assistant linebackers coach James Willis, offensive assistants Kyle DeVan and Greg Lewis and coaching assistant Brendan Nugent.

Allen is a former Oakland Raiders head coach and Saints assistant.

Morton was with the San Francisco 49ers for the past three seasons.

The Saints will have Dan Roushar moving from running backs coach to tight ends.

The Saints fired tight ends coach Terry Malone, receivers coach Henry Ellard, assistant secondary coach with offensive assistant Carter Sheridan going to Tulane and offensive assistant Frank Smith being hired by the Chicago Bears.
