The Washington Redskins are set to hire former San Francisco 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan as their next general manager.
Bruce Allen will be named team president.
McCloughan has dealt with personal issues, including alcoholism, in the past.
McCloughan is regarded as a gifted talent evaluator.
McCloughan maintained a private scouting service.
