Former NFL defensive lineman Sean Gilbert wanted to clarify a few things.

He says he's not planning a player strike.

"History has shown us that strikes by NFL players have not been successful," Gilbert said in an email.

He reiterated that he believes owners have made $2.5 billion over the first four years in the collective bargaining agreement since it was struck in 2011. He said franchises have increased nearly 40 percent in franchise value.
