The New York Jets are working out former Minnesota Viking safety Jamarca Sanford today, according to a league source.

They're also working out former Buffalo Bills cornerback Brandon Smith.

Sanford is a former Vikings seventh-round draft pick from Ole Miss.

Sanford started for the Vikings and recorded a career-high 75 tackles in 2013.

He signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Vikings in 2013.

Sanford has recorded 267 career tackles, two interceptions and eight forced fumbles.
