University of Miami linebacker Denzel Perryman is visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars today, according to a league source.
Perryman ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds at the NFL scouting combine and bench pressed 225 pounds 27 times. He had a 32-inch vertical leap.
At his Pro Day workout, Perryman improved those numbers to a 4.7 time, a 33-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225 pounds 30 times.
A four-year starter, Perryman finished his career with 351 tackles.
Perryman is a 5-foot-11, 236-pound third-team All-American, first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection and a Butkus Award finalist.
He led the Hurricanes with 110 tackles, 9.5 tackles for losses, and had three forced fumbles and two sacks.
As a junior, he was first-team all-conference when he had 108 tackles, five for losses and 1.5 sacks and honorable-mention all-conference as a sophomore.
