Year two of the Jim Schwartz project is ready to get underway.
Per a tweet from Jay Glazer of FoxSports.com, the Detroit Lions have reached an agreement with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh on a five-year, $60 million contract that includes $40 million guaranteed.
If various incentives are met, the 23-year old could earn a maximum of $68 million.
As most writers say at this point, that’s big-time cash for a guy who has never played a down of professional football.
Now that the 2009 AP College Player of the Year is under contract, that leaves only Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller (No. 9 overall) and Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Russell Okung (No. 6 overall) as the only two players left unsigned.
