Suspended Denver Broncos director of player personnel Matt Russell made his first court appearance from his driving under the influence case where he allegedly ran into the back of a police car.
According to the CBS affiliate, Russell's lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, asked for a continuance.
Steinberg said more investigative work needs to be conducted.
Russell allegedly rear-ended one car, then the police car, causing the officer to be hospitalized and miss a lot of work.
Russell's alleged Breathalyzer test: 0.246, way over the legal limit.
He's suspended indefinitely and is getting treatment, rehabilitation and counseling services.
