Houston Texans' quarterback Matt Leinart left today's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an undisclosed injury. Just before the half, Leinart was sacked and had to be taken to the locker room. After the play, it appeared he was holding his shoulder. Rookie T.J. Yates has taken over for Leinart.

Leinart had a productive first half. Before leaving the game, Leinart completed 10 of 13 passes for just 57 yards. He also threw a 20-yard touchdown.

This was Leinart's first start. He was replacing first string quarterback Matt Schuab who is out for the year with a broken foot.

Update: Reports saying Leinart has a left shoulder injury. He will not return.
