Washington announced this past weekend that defensive coordinator Nick Holt and offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier were recently given one-year extensions to their previous contracts.

Holt will now be under contract through the 2012 season while Nussmeier’s deal will run through the 2011 campaign.

All of the other seven assistants have deals that will keep them in Seattle through 2010.

Holt’s unit has struggled this season, ranking 97th in the nation in points against at 31.3 per game. Meanwhile, Nussmeier has been credited with helping quarterback Jake Locker develop into more of a pocket passer.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian's contract runs through the 2013 season and has been unchanged since his arrival at Washington.
