Logan worked with 49ers coach Jim Tomsula in NFL Europe.
Logan has a stint as the Tamps Bay Buccaneers' running backs coach.
Logan is a folksy coach with a good personality. He will likely mesh well with quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Logan coached Jeff Blake, David Garrard and Marus Crandell at East Carolina.
