Panthers cut safety Thomas DeCoud
The Carolina Panthers cut veteran safety Thomas DeCoud.
DeCoud was heading into the final year of a two-year contract. His release creates Q$1.915 million in salary-cap space.
DeCoud struggled last season and was benched. He was replaced by Tre Boston.
DeCoud was cut by the Atlanta Falcons following the 2013 season, two years into a five-year, $17.5 million contract.
He started 11 games last season for the Panthers.
The Panthers signed offensive lineman Chris Scott to a one-year deal.
