Cowboys corner Orlando Scandrick suspended four games for PED violation

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made the announcement tonight.

Scandrick started all but one game last season and recorded 64 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

Scandrick joins a group of players sidelined, including defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence with a broken foot, linebacker Sean Lee with a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as linebacker Anthony Spencer sitll recovering from micro-fracture surgery. The defense is taking hit after hit and also lost DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher in free agency.

The Cowboys finished with the worst statistical defense last year.
