Packers place Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve

The Green Bay Packers placed rookie running back Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve, promoting linebacker Victor Aiyewa from the practice squad.

Franklin is out for the season due to a concussion.

Franklin rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

He gained 103 of his yards against the Cincinnati Bengals early in the season.

While Franklin hasn't emerged as a consistent threat, second-rounder Eddie Lacy has provided power and production.
