The worst fear of the Arizona Cardinals came to light when it was discovered safety Adrian Wilson suffered a torn muscle in his bicep.
Wilson was injured in practice Saturday and went for an MRI where the diagnosis was made, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
But the Pro Bowl performer is not ready to shut it down and have the necessary surgery. Wilson is going to try to play through the injury this season, and he is expected to seek a second medical opinion. It poses a couple concerns off the top, for us. With a torn muscle in his bicep, it’s going to make Wilson weaker and that could impact his ability to tackle as the last line of defense. If he compensates for the injury, perhaps he could get hurt elsewhere too.
But Wilson is a tough player and we’ll see how this shakes out.
