The Chicago Bears added an inside linebacker to their roster on Thursday.

With Shea McClellin out this week with a hand injury, the Bears signed Darryl Sharpton to the 53-man roster. Sharpton played the previous four seasons with the Houston Texans and was a former fourth-round draft pick. He spent the preseason with Washington but suffered a high ankle sprain during the first exhibition game.

The Bears' corresponding roster move was to cut fullback Tony Fiammetta with an injury settlement.
