Burrow, Beckham, Hunt Prop Picks

Browns Bengals Prop Picks

Kareem Hunt breaks out, Joe Burrow struggles and Odell Beckham Jr silences his critics. Here are my favorite prop bets for Thursday nights matchup between the Bengals and Browns.

Kareem Hunt OVER 41.5 yards prop

Even with the Browns getting blown out, Kareem Hunt had a solid game. He rushed for 72 yards on 13 carries against a tough Baltimore defense. To my surprise, he carried the ball more than Nick Chubb, who many touted as the Browns’ lead back this season. Just last week, Hunt was rewarded with a new two-year, $13.25 million contract extension, which shows the organization’s dedication to getting him the ball.

This matchup bodes well for Hunt, as the Bengals struggled mightily against the run, and it was on full display last week. The Browns passing attack was nonexistent last week so I expect head coach Kevin Stefanski to try and get his running game going early. Hunt also has the explosiveness to take one to the house at any time, so 41.5 yards is simply too low in my opinion. Take the over 41.5 yards prop here.

Joe Burrow UNDER 240.5 yards prop

I thought it was a typo when I first saw this line. Joe Burrow was great in his first game, don’t get me wrong, but 240.5 passing yards is too high. Burrow flashed his potential Week 1, especially late in the game. He led a Bengals drive at the end, however kicker Randy Bullock couldn’t put the game into overtime. This will be Burrows first prime-time game, and it will be on a short week. The nerves might catch up with the first overall pick in this one.

The Cleveland Browns defensive line is also stacked, with guys like Miles Garrett, Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson. I think Burrow comes back to earth a little in this game, and struggles under the spotlight.

Odell Beckham Jr OVER 61.5 receiving yards

Odell Beckham Jr struggled to say the least in Week 1. He finished with only three catches for 22 yards, and had a crucial drop in the game that basically sealed the deal for the Ravens. Well, it’s a new week and I like Odell in this matchup.

The Browns should be able to run the ball with ease in this game, which will open up the play-action game for Baker and Odell. He is at his best when there is play-action, as he can get open better downfield.

The Bengals lack a shutdown corner that can follow Odell around. Last week, Marlon Humphrey drove him crazy, and you could see the frustration in his body language. He finished last season strong and I think last week was just an anomaly.

Look for Odell to bounce back on Thursday Night and go OVER 61.5 yards on this prop.
