Lions Packers Prediction, Lions Cover, Love INT

Green Bay rallied 17 points to win Sunday and now face a hungry Detroit Lions team on short rest as a rare home underdog.

In the past six seasons, the Packers have been an underdog at Lambeau just four times, covering every time. Thursday Night Football sees them as small dogs against a Lions team off an easy win over Atlanta.

Detroit has covered the spread in 10 straight divisional games but is 4-28 SU in its last 32 visits to Green Bay. For whatever reason, the Packers love Week 4, going 10-1 SU past 11 seasons.

Why the Lions can cover the spread

The Packers did not look good until the fourth quarter arrived and the Saints fell apart. Their form looks erratic, QB Jordan Love’s numbers are dog shit and Detroit would seem to have the superior talent in this NFC North tilt.

They have covered 10 divisional games in a row and are 11-2 ATS in their past 13 games overall. Jared Goff looks credible, the Packers are badly banged up and the Lions are 4-1 ATS in their past 5 Thursday night games.

Why the Packers can cover the spread

Momentum plus home field means anything can happen here. Green Bay has dominated the Lions here over many years and they are 7-1 ATS in their past 8 games overall.

With some potent young wideouts and Love getting the job done despite some sketchy stats, all the Packers need to do is win and they cover here.

Lions Packers Prediction

Green Bay looks like Fool’s Gold to us. Love ranks last in key QB metrics, they are banged up and Detroit seems much further ahead at this stage of the season. On a short week, we play the Lions to cover a small number at Green Bay.

Packers Lions Props

Jordan Love to throw an INT -130: We really don’t trust Love here, he slings the ball into tight coverage and has gotten away with it. He is not this accurate and Detroit is going to pick him.
