Some high-level clashes highlight Week 11 of the college football betting season and we focus on a major battle between Ole Miss and Georgia. As well, we study Utah vs BYU and another SEC clash with South Carolina facing Vanderbilt.
Georgia Bulldogs at Ole’ Miss Rebels (+2.5/54.5)
Georgia continued their trend of letting down bettors last week in their 34-20 win over Florida as 14.5-point favorites. They’re now 1-6 ATS in their last seven games. On the road the Bulldogs are a solid 9-1 SU in their last 10, but only 3-7 ATS.
Ole’ Miss is coming off an easy 63-31 win over Arkansas as 7.5-point favorites which bumped them up to 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS. The Rebels may be one of the most underrated teams in the SEC right now as they boast the top scoring offense in the conference and the No. 4 scoring defense in the nation.
As home underdogs they’ve won three straight. The smartest bet here might be to take the Under on the posted total.
Pick: Ole’ Miss +2.5
BYU Cougars at Utah Utes (+4/40.5)
Watch out for the undefeated Cougars. They’re 8-0 SU and a profitable 7-1 ATS so far this season. They’re coming off their bye week and last time out upset Central Florida 37-24 as 2.5-point underdogs.
The No. 2 offense in the Big 12, the Cougars have won four straight on the road both SU and ATS, and as road favorites they’re 7-1 in their last eight.
Utah is struggling right now. They’re also coming off their bye week, and in their last game fell to Houston 17-14 as 4.5-point favorites. They’ve now lost four straight both SU and ATS and are a lousy 2-6 ATS on the season. As home underdogs they’ve lost six straight at 1-4-1 ATS
Pick: BYU -4
South Carolina Gamecocks at Vanderbilt Commodores (+3.5/45.5)
Bettors may have a hard time making a pick in this matchup as both the Gamecocks and the Commodores have been good bets this season. South Carolina is coming off a 44-20 win over Texas A&M as 3-point underdogs which was their sixth wins ATS in their last seven games.
The Gamecocks have won four straight ATS on the road, and as road favorites they’re 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five.
Vanderbilt is a strong 7-2 ATS this season and last week topped Auburn 17-7 as 8-pont underdogs. In their last 10 they’re 8-2 ATS, and at home they’re 4-1 ATS in their last five. Even as home underdogs the Commodores have excelled with three straight ATS wins and a 4-1 ATS record in their last five.
In this matchup the Gamecocks have dominated for years. South Carolina has won seven straight and four in a row ATS.
Pick: South Carolina -3.5
