Why the Eagles can cover the spread

The offensive line is terrific and can blow up a running game while the defensive line is deep and ferocious. If games are won in the trenches, the Eagles win on both sides here. The offense has not impressed as yet, but hey can run when they need to run and have terrific passing options as well.

It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Philly doesn’t win here unless they self-sabotage. They flirted with the spread the past two weeks, so maybe this game stays close, but -5 looks like a deal here. The Bucs have covered just four times in 18 games when catching points.

Why the Bucs can cover the spread

Philly tends to not cover as a road team and has so far shown a knack for keeping games close when they should be routing teams. Does that change in Week 3?

The Philly secondary has been banged up and looked disorganized, allowing 340 passing yards per game to New England and Minnesota. Baker Mayfield will be encouraged to test the Eagles through the air.
