The NFC Pro Bowl roster, which will either lose a lot of Saints or a lot of Vikings after Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, had another switch made.
Dallas cornerback Terence Newman replaces Arizona’s Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Rodgers-Cromartie suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s loss at New Orleans, but the Cardinals were relieved when they learned it wasn’t a torn ACL.
It was to be the first Pro Bowl appearance for Rodgers-Cromartie. This marks Newman’s second all-star appearance.
Newman bounced back from an injury-riddled 2008 to have a strong season. He played in all 16 games and made three interceptions with 68 tackles and a career-high 21 passes defended. Newman will join six Cowboys teammates.
