Running back LeGarrette Blount has agreed to a a pay cut, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.
Blount, whom the Patriots acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during last week's draft for running back Jeff Demps and a seventh-round pick, was scheduled to make $1.2 million this season.
However, he has agreed to a reduction in pay that would pay him a $630,000 base salary with a split of $358,000 if he winds up on injured reserve. The new deal includes a $50,000 workout bonus for Blount.
