Knowshon Moreno will undergo an MRI today on his injured right knee to determine the extent of the damage.
Moreno has a sprain, according to the early diagnosis, and the Broncos are checking the knee out to see if Moreno has a ligament tear or not, says Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
The suddenly resurgent Broncos, who are 4-5 and just one game behind Oakland in the AFC West, also lost Willis McGahee to a hamstring injury in their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, but his injury is not believed to be as serious as Moreno's.
The Broncos, using a version of the option in large part with Tim Tebow at quarterback, will need healthy and productive running backs to maintain the success they have had in back-to-back weeks against the Raiders and Chiefs.
