Who knew the Cleveland Browns practice squad fullback would turn out to be a gig that launches careers?
Last week, Tyler Clutts was signed off the Browns practice squad by the Chicago Bears, who played him Sunday in their season-opening victory over the Atlanta Falcons. So, the Browns replaced him with Eddie Williams. A week later, Williams has found himself a job.
The Seattle Seahawks have signed Williams off the Browns practice squad, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times. Williams will replace Michael Robinson, who suffered an ankle injury in the Week 1 loss at San Francisco.
The Seahawks are expected to let tight end Dominique Byrd go to make room for Williams.
