The Cleveland Browns apparently will apply the franchise tag to linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, says Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
The sixth-year pro had 158 tackles last season, and registered 3.5 sacks as well as an interception and a forced fumble.
The Browns are short on playmakers on their roster, so they certainly can't afford to let a player of Jackson's ability walk away.
