Notorious partier Bryant McKinnie, a central figure in the Love Boat incident, doesn’t see how one could possibly drop $100,000 on a bar tab. Not in one night.
Reports surfaced on TMZ.com that McKinnie kicked off NBA All-Star weekend in Los Angeles with a huge bash, one in which he dropped $100,000 on booze. Not so, says McKinnie, who partied himself off the NFC Pro Bowl team a little more than a year ago when the rest of the squad didn’t show up at KOD’s for meetings.
“(The story) was exaggerated a lot,” McKinnie told Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
As McKinnie explained, he was at a Rick Ross concert when the singer gave a shout out to the left tackle of the Minnesota Vikings. The next thing Ross did was make reference to spending $100,000 on bottles. Per the report, TMZ must have connected the dots right there.
“All of a sudden that became my tab somehow," McKinnie said. "Like seriously, at the time I was laughing thinking it was in good fun until people started talking about it and took it a little too far.
"I don't even see a possible way to consume that much alcohol by 2 a.m."
So, there you have it. McKinnie is an all-pro partier, but not even he could get down quite like this. But we would not put this past Charlie Sheen.
