The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the revamping of their coaching staff as they hired three assistants on the defensive side of the ball.
Keith Millard and Grady Stretz were hired to coach the defensive line and Tyrone Petteway was added as a defensive quality control coach.
According to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, Millard, a former defensive player of the year for the Minnesota Vikings, will specialize with the pass rushers. Stretz, who comes from Arizona State, will focus more on stopping the run. They replace Todd Wash and Chris Mosley, who were let go after this past season. The Bucs used first- and second-round picks on Gerald McCoy and Brian Price this past year and they want to build the young defense around them, so they’re hoping new coaches will bring out their best.
