Caleb King was not selected in the supplemental draft but the former Georgia standout has signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 10 teams showed interest in King early in the process with workouts. King went the supplemental draft route because he was declared academically ineligible. He rushed for 594 yards and seven touchdowns in 2009.
King enters a situation where Adrian Peterson is the bell cow running back but the backup picture isn’t nearly as defined. Still, it’s going to be an uphill battle for King to stick.
