It looks like Cam Newton's absence will only last one game.
On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers quarterback was in full pads as the team prepares for its Week 2 game against Detroit, according to reports from the local Charlotte media.
Newton missed the season-opener against the Buccaneers, though backup Derek Anderson was able to lead the offense and still get a 17-14 win anyway.
Newton is nursing a hairline fracture to one of his ribs.
