The San Diego Chargers have placed outside lniebacker Melvin Ingram on injured reserve-designated to return.
He'll miss at least the next eight weeks. Ingram injured his hip against the Seattle Seahawks.
Last year, he missed a dozen games with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Ingram has recorded seven tackles and a sack this season.
Ingram is a former first-round draft pick from South Carolina.
