The New York Giants have traded for help at linebacker with Keith Rivers earlier this week and now they’re adding more help.
Chase Blackburn, who had a key interception in the team’s victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, will rejoin the team, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. Blackburn will sign a one-year deal, likely for the veteran minimum, per the report.
Blackburn joined the team during the season and made four starts. He’ll provide some depth but probably isn’t viewed as a starter. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Giants targeted some help at linebacker in the draft.
