Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Brandon Siler is out for the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.
The Associated Press reported the news via ESPN.com, citing a text message from Siler's agent David Canter.
Siler was a free agent pickup by the Chiefs from the rival San Diego Chargers. Last year in San Diego, Siler had 44 tackles, one sack and one interception in 12 games a year ago.
