Getting Michael Dyer, the nation’s best RB recruit, wasn’t enough for Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. Neither was bringing in five-star QB Cameron Newton and five-star OL Shon Coleman.
He wanted more.
Despite missing out on RB Marcus Lattimore, who elected to play for Steve Spurrier and South Carolina, Auburn landed a big fish on Wednesday.
DE Corey Lemonier, a Florida native, signed a letter of intent to play for the Tigers, choosing to go out of state and bypass playing for Jimbo Fisher and Florida State.
The 6-5, 223-pound four-star prospect said he was impressed with the Auburn coaching staff.
