Syracuse Orange at Clemson Tigers (-46/62)

The Tigers are facing a massive spread this week after posting a blowout 73-7 win over Georgia Tech last week. When favored by 46 points or more the Tigers are 5-0 straight up, but only 1-4 against the spread.

We expect that ATS record to drop to 1-5 this week. The Orange are also 4-2 ATS in their last six versus Clemson and they were the underdog in all six games. Take Syracuse +46.

Alabama Crimson Tide at Tennessee Volunteers (+21/66)

Betting on Alabama ATS has been a bit of a coin flip this season with a 2-2 ATS record through four games. Against the Volunteers this week we expect that to improve to 3-2 ATS. In their last nine road games against Tennessee the Crimson Tide are 8-1 ATS. In this matchup overall the visiting team is 4-1 ATS in their last five.

The Volunteers are also a lackluster 3-9 ATS in their last 10 home games against teams with winning records. Throw in the Volunteers 1-4-1 ATS record in their last six games and we’ll take Alabama -21.

NC State Wolfpack at North Carolina Tar Heels (-15.5/60)

This could be a tricky one for total bettors to pick with the trends pulling in opposite directions. The Wolfpack have been a strong Over play at 4-1 Over in their last five and 7-2 Over in their last nine. The Tar Heels have paid Under bettors at 5-2 Under in their last seven, and they’re 4-1 Under in their last five at home.

The matchup trends also favor the Under, as in the last seven games between the Wolfpack and Tar Heels the Under is 6-1. Despite that, we’re taking the Over on the posted total of 60. Here’s why. The Wolfpack have scored at least 30 points in every game this season. The Tar Heels may be a regular Under lately, but they’ve scored 30-plus points in three of their four games this season. In the other game, they posted 26 points.

For us, the match just added up to take the Over.
