Kentucky fires offensive coordinator, QB coach
Kentucky fired offensive coordinator Eddie Gran and quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw on Sunday.
Both men had been on Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops’ staff since 2016.
The staff shakeup happened one day after Kentucky finished a 4-6 regular season with a 41-18 victory against South Carolina.
“Eddie and I pondered about this for weeks and mutually agreed that this was the way to move forward,” Stoops said. “I appreciate Eddie for the true professional and friend that he is. I also want to recognize the success we had, going to a bowl game every year since his arrival, with a reflection of our shared vision to do what was necessary to win games.”
Gran also coached the Kentucky running backs and Hinshaw was the co-offensive coordinator.
The Wildcats rank last in the Southeastern Conference iin total offense (311.8 yards per game) and are 11th in scoring (21.7 points per game).
