NCAA Top 10 Matchups, Opening Odds

NCAA Top 10 matchups will attract football betting enthusiasts this week and there are some intriguing college football opening lines for all bettors.

The first Top 10 matchup on this week’s schedule is No. 10 Texas A&M at No. 2 Alabama. The opening lines for the matchup have Alabama listed as a 9.5-point favorite. Last week in their season opener, Alabama failed to cover as 28.5-point favorites against Missouri in a 38-19 win. Texas A&M has dropped three straight against the spread, and they’re 4-7 ATS in their last 11.

In this weeks other Top 10 matchup No. 8 Auburn visits No. 4 Georgia. The early odds list Georgia as a 4.5-point favorite. Georgia also began their season by failing to cover last week in a 37-10 win over Arkansas as a 28-point favorite. At home Georgia has lost four straight against the spread. Auburn is 1-6 straight up and ATS in their last seven games against Georgia.

Clemson favored by 4 TDs

If you’re looking for this week’s largest opening spread you’ll find it in the Virginia at Clemson matchup. Clemson, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, opened as 27.5-point favorites. Clemson has failed to cover in both of their games so far this season. When favored by 27.5 points Clemson is 3-4 against the spread in their last seven games.

A few other matchups this week with larger spreads include South Carolina at Florida as a 19.5-point underdog, Tulsa at Central Florida as an 18.5-point underdog, Oklahoma State at Kansas as a 21.5-point road favorite, and LSU at Vanderbilt as an 18.5-point road favorite.

Other road favorites on the opening odds this week include North Carolina at Boston College as an 11.5-point favorite, Virginia Tech at Duke as a 10.5-point favorite, Memphis at SMU as a 4.5-point favorite and Oklahoma at Iowa State as an 8.5-point favorite.

Oklahoma was one of the biggest disappointments for bettors last week after they lost to Kansas State 38-35 as a 27.5-point favorite. Following that loss Oklahoma dropped to 2-7 ATS in their last nine games.
