Northwestern WR Holman carted off after hit to head
Northwestern junior wide receiver Berkeley Holman had to be carted off the field during the Wildcats’ Saturday game against Michigan State following a helmet-to-helmet hit.
On a third-down play with 6:22 left in the third quarter, Northwestern quarterback Peyton Ramsey was flushed out of the pocket and tried to find Holman. Spartans defensive back Shakur Brown got to the ball first, colliding heads with Holman as he made the interception.
Holman was on the ground for about 10 minutes after the hit, but ESPN reported that he was alert, moving and speaking after the hit. Brown was not hurt.
Holman had returned from an injury last week to make his season debut against Wisconsin.
