SEC football betting begins with Week 4 opening odds and the promise of plenty of new wagering interest as these marquee programs kick off.
The game with the largest spread on the opening odds list is an SEC matchup. Texas A&M begins their season as a 30-point favorite against Vanderbilt. When favored by 30 points or more Texas A&M has won 28 straight but owns a 15-13 record ATS. Think back to last season, Vandy was a 21.5-point home underdog and upset Missouri.

Alabama vs Missouri odds
Speaking of Mizzou, Alabama kicks off their season as 28-point road favorites against the Missouri Tigers. Alabama has won their last three against Missouri both SU and ATS and the Tigers will have many players on the sidelines for Covid-19 precautions.
It’s been eight years since Mizzou laid so many point at home and that was 2012 at home to, you guessed it, Alabama and they got hammered 42-10. Nick Saban wants another title and Bama opened the season as SEC faves.
Other SEC road favorites this weekend include Florida at Ole’ Miss as a 10-point favorite, Tennessee at South Carolina as a 2.5-point favorite, and Georgia at Arkansas as a 24.5-point favorite. Georgia has been a sold pick as a road favorite with five straight wins both SU and ATS.
Rounding out this weekend’s SEC matchups is Auburn hosting Kentucky as a 13.5-point favorite and LSU at home to Mississippi State as a 19.5-point favorite. LSU, the reigning national champions, have won 16 straight at home with a 11-3-2 ATS record.
