Another big favorite on the opening odds are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They’ll face the South Florida Bulls and opened up as 24.5-point favorites. Notre Dame was a 21.5-point favorite against the Duke Blue Devils last week and failed to cover in a 27-13 win.

Rounding out our three-pack of 20-plus favorites are the Oklahoma State Cowboys. They begin their season this week against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and they opened as 20.5-point favorites. The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last six games and against Tulsa they’ve covered in four straight.

Clemson biggest chalk?

The largest favorite this week will likely end up being the Clemson Tigers. The No. 1 ranked Tigers faced the Citadel Bulldogs this week, but the oddsmakers have posted the odds yet. Clemson were big 34.5-point favorites last week against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons but let bettors down in a 37-13 win.

There’s one matchup on tap this week between ranked teams. The No. 17 Miami Hurricanes take on the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals. The opening odds list the Cardinals as a slim 1-point home favorite. Miami is 1-4 ATS in their last five versus Louisville.

Other Top 25 teams on the schedule this week include the No. 14 UCF Knights, and the No. 25 Pittsburgh Panthers.

The Knights opened as an 8-point road favorite versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Panthers started the week as 6-point favorites against the Syracuse Orange.
