Week 5 College Football Picks

After a successful Week 4, we are back to fading Oklahoma this week, along with two other Week 5 college football picks. Lines courtesy of BetRivers and check out NCAA football betting odds and matchup stats on every game here.

Auburn Tigers at Georgia Bulldogs (-7/45) – Matchup Stats

Looking at the trends this looks like an easy Under play for total bettors. The Tigers are 5-2 Under in their last seven games, and on the road they’re 5-2-1 Under in their last eight. The Bulldogs have been Under machines for bettors with a 9-1 Under record in their last 10 games. Georgia has also posted five straight Under at home. The last three matchups between the Tigers and Bulldogs have all gone Under the posted total and their last seven matchups are 6-1 Under. Take Under on the 45 total.

Oklahoma Sooners at Iowa State Cyclones (+7/63) – Matchup Stats

Oklahoma was a 27.5-point favorite last week in their 38-35 loss to Kansas State. We bet against the Sooners in that game and we’ll do it again this week. On the road the Sooners are a stellar 12-1 straight up in their last 13 games, but a lousy 4-8-1 against the spread. When listed as a road favorite they’re 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15. Iowa State has lost six straight ATS, but as a home underdog they’re actually 4-0-1 ATS in their last five, and 10-2-2 ATS in their last 14. Iowa State has also won four in a row ATS against Oklahoma. We’ll take the Cyclones +7.

South Florida Bulls at Cincinnati Bearcats (-22/47)

We expect another ATS upset in this matchup. Cincinnati has been a solid bet in their last five games at 4-1 ATS, but in all four wins they were favored by only two touchdowns or less. When facing a spread of 22 points or higher the Bearcats and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games.

The Bulls have been a solid pick when facing a large spread at 6-3 ATS in their last nine when facing a 22-point spread or higher. Also worth noting, South Florida has won five straight ATS against Cincinnati. Go with South Florida +22. Matchup Stats
